Researcher for Mexico – SECIHTI affiliated with CICY. She earned her Ph.D. from IER-UNAM in 2008, a Master’s Degree in Energy from IER-UNAM in 2004, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from UJAT in 2000.

Her research focuses on carbon materials and metallic nanoparticles derived from biomass waste. She has published 83 JCR-indexed articles and 5 book chapters, accumulating more than 1,850 citations in Google Scholar.

She has served as principal investigator for five major research projects, including National Problems (2018), Infrastructure Programs (2016, 2017), Thematic Networks – DEPROCC Subnetwork (2015), and institutional funding projects at CICY.

She has supervised 5 Ph.D., 19 Master’s, and 15 undergraduate theses. In 2017, she received the Science, Technology and Innovation Award in the Scientific and Technological Research category. She also directed the third-place winning thesis in the 2020 Hydrogen Technology Thesis Competition organized by SMH.

She currently serves as Associate Editor of the journal Ciencia y Naturaleza.

Dr. Tatiana Romero Castañón has over 25 years of experience in hydrogen technology research and development. She holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada, specializing in fuel cells.

She earned her Master’s Degree in Energy with Honors from the Institute of Renewable Energy at UNAM and holds a Chemical Engineering degree from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla.

Since 2000, she has been part of the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energies (INEEL), where she co-founded the Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Laboratory. In 2019, under her leadership, the laboratory expanded its strategic vision and became the Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Storage Laboratory.

The laboratory develops fuel cells, electrolyzers, and flow batteries, with a strong emphasis on national technological innovation and knowledge transfer.

Dr. José Alonso Díaz Guillén holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Ceramic Engineering from CINVESTAV Saltillo (2011), a Master’s Degree in Science from the same institution, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering from TecNM – Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia.

He is currently a Full-Time Research Professor at TecNM – Instituto Tecnológico de Saltillo (ITS). His research focuses on advanced ceramic materials for alternative energy generation devices.

He has published 48 peer-reviewed international journal articles in the field of materials for alternative energy, accumulating more than 1,200 global citations. He is also the author of 5 book chapters and has presented over 120 papers at national and international conferences.

He has supervised 30 undergraduate theses, 13 Master’s theses, 6 Ph.D. dissertations, and one postdoctoral research project. He leads the Energy and Materials Research Group (GRIEM-ITS), is a Level II member of the National System of Researchers (SNI), and actively participates in national research networks and hydrogen technology laboratories.

With over 13 years of teaching experience in engineering and graduate programs, he has received multiple research awards and thesis competition recognitions.
